Michelle Obama: First Lady of Comic Books, Volume 2...

Last spring, First Lady Michelle Obama took her place next to Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton as a featured star in the “Female Force" comic series. Mrs. Obama may not have any superpowers in the comic book, but she has does have enough star power to warrant a sequel.

The second installment, “Female Force: Michelle Obama: YEAR ONE,” is scheduled for release on Wednesday. The comic sequel brings the First Lady’s story up to date, starting with her husband’s inauguration last January, and chronicles her transition into the White House .

“Even before the first issue on Michelle Obama, we realized we were following a dynamic, continuing portrait of history,” said the publisher of “Female Force,” Bluewater president Darren G. Davis in a statement. “I forsee several more chapters as she creates her own agenda and makes her own mark as a “female force.” Continue reading this article HERE.

Military Chic Accessories

With the whole military inspired fashion craze I thought I would post a few items that won't make you feel like Rambo. These 80%20 sandal shoes ($149) are really cute and fun. They have a bit of a safari feel to them as well and will be great for tracking that coyote in Central Park. And the little bit of studded gold bling on this Pyramid Stud Stretch Band Belt by Cara Accessories $118 add just a touch of glam. Both available at Intermix.

I apologize to anyone who tried to attend this event and found the door padlocked! Obviously poor planning on Targets part as the store sold out early (and looked like it had been attacked by a mob) and they closed it Friday and Saturday.

The four-day shop is right off Bryan Park and will have cool art, floral elements and digital projection installations, inspired by patterns and prints from the collection and New Yorkers will get the first chance to shop the collection. Hours 9am-8pm March 10-13th 1095 Sixth Ave at 42nd Street.

Victoria Beckham Would Love to Dress Michelle O.

via HuffPo:
Victoria Beckham has clothed Blake Lively and Jennifer Hudson...and Sarah Jessica Parker even went clad in a Beckham frock to visit the White House. But Victoria hasn't yet realized her ultimate dream: dressing Michelle Obama.

At Elton John's Oscar party, Beckham exclaimed, "I would love to dress Mrs. Obama absolutely absolutely absolutely! I just think she's incredible and she's a very strong woman and she's beautiful."

She added, "I love women and I just want to make women feel good and beautiful and it's just been a huge compliment that ladies have enjoyed wearing my dresses and they look great! It just goes to show they can flatter women of all different shapes and sizes, all different heights, and that's what it's about. It's about creating an illusion and having a great cut."
